PRIMA Chess Classic Concludes with Exciting Results in Bucharest

The PRIMA Chess Classic, the second stage of the Queens’ Chess Challenge 2024 circuit, concluded on August 25 after a week of intense competition in Bucharest. The tournament, held from August 19 to 25, brought together some of the top female chess players from six countries, vying for the prestigious Women Grandmaster (WGM) norms.

The tournament ended with Yelyzaveta Hrebenshchykova emerging as the champion, securing her second WGM norm. Mihaela Sandu claimed the second position, while Anastasia Avramidou finished third. The competition was fierce, and these players showcased exceptional skill and determination, setting the stage for future encounters at upcoming events like the Budapest Olympiad.

The closing ceremony took place in a relaxed yet friendly atmosphere at A46, where the winners were celebrated for their remarkable achievements.
